I am the current President of the Society for Conservation Biology - Toronto Chapter and in 2012 we initiated a Citizen Science inspired project that is focused on quantifying pollinator biodiversity (mostly the Hymenoptera) in Rouge Park. The park is located in the Rouge River watershed, along the border of Toronto and Pickering, Ontario, Canada.  For the past two summers, I help coordinate volunteer field crews to sample the pollinator communities across different landscapes that vary in terms of the time since restoration.
